World Music Series at the Candle Corner!

Presented by Cipitio Records, the Candle Corner comes alive with the sound and energy of live world music for the Second Annual World Music Series.

Join us at the Green & White for an afternoon and evening of world music and dance performances.  The afternoon starts in the Candle Corner for up close and intimate performances by solo artists starting at 5:00 PM.  When the shop closes the action keeps going in the back room with a dance show and a band to keep you dancing!

Vyjayanthi Neha Vadrevu

Please Welcome Ms. Neha Vadrevu, our special dance guest at The Candle Corner World Music Series

Vyjayanthi Neha Vadrevu is a classically trained Indian dancer and applied cultural anthropologist whose life’s work lives at the intersection of embodied wisdom and human understanding. Since childhood, she has trained in Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Kathak, and Kuchipudi under masters who hold India’s highest artistic honors, including the Padma Bhushan and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, and has performed at iconic venues including Symphony Space in New York and The Kennedy Center in Washington, DC.

🇨🇺 Cuban trovador Rogers Undertrova

Rogers Undertrova is a Cuban singer-songwriter whose work fuses traditional trova with contemporary influences such as reggae, funk, hip hop, and alternative music. His style is characterized by a strong poetic charge, social commitment, and a direct narrative inspired by everyday life and cultural identity.


He began his career within the Cuban hip hop movement, participating in various collective projects before establishing himself as a solo artist. His artistic evolution led him to adopt the guitar as a creative axis, integrating the trova tradition with urban and Afro-Caribbean sounds.

Style and Themes

His compositions address themes such as freedom, love, spirituality, social criticism, and the Cuban generational experience. Undertrova's music stands out for its authenticity, sonic experimentation, and lyrical depth.

Si Novaes

  Si Novaes is a singer-song writer from São Paulo, Brazil.

   She has been in the Austin music scene since 2016, performing in iconic Austin venues like Antone's, the Empire Control Room, , Sahara Lounge,  and many more.

   Her repertoire is a blend of original songs as well as popular brazilian classics in traditional genres from samba to bossa nova.

  She is driven by the passion of sharing her culture through her music and exchanging good vibes with collaborating artists and diverse audiences.



Sander Pinheiro

   Sander Pinheiro is a Brazilian guitarist, singer and composer with 26 years of

professional experience. Sander has has toured in various cities in the

United States, such as New York, New Orleans, Miami, Houston, Austin, Dallas, among others.

   He has played in major music festivals, including the Atlanta jazz festival and Brazilian Day Festival, in Austin.
